Job Description:

Star Pro Security Patrol, Inc. is seeking dedicated individuals to join our team as Unarmed Security Guards at a business complex in Escondido. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and security of the client site, staff, and visitors, as well as enforcing parking rules. The ideal candidate will be vigilant and committed to maintaining an orderly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitor and Patrol Premises: Conduct regular patrols of the site's exterior to ensure the proper conduct is being followed.
Access Control: Manage and monitor entry and exit points to ensure that individuals are accessing appropriate areas.
Incident Response: Respond promptly to emergencies, disturbances, or any security-related incidents, and take appropriate action as per client policies.
Report Writing: Document and report all incidents, observations, and activities during the shift in a clear and concise manner.
Conflict Resolution: De-escalate conflicts and manage situations involving shelter residents and visitors in a calm and professional manner.
Collaboration: Work closely with staff and local law enforcement when necessary to address security concerns and incidents.
Customer Service: Provide assistance and support to staff and visitors with a focus on maintaining a welcoming and respectful environment.

Qualifications:

Security Guard License: Must possess a valid California Guard Card.
Experience: Prior experience in security, especially in a social services setting, is preferred.
Skills: Excellent observation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Background Check: Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform routine physical activities as required by the job.

Working Conditions:

Environment: Work is performed in both indoor and outdoor settings, potentially in various weather conditions.
Shifts: Various shifts available, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
