Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Unarmed Security Guard to join our team. The primary responsibility of this position is to manage access to a gated neighborhood, ensuring that only authorized individuals are allowed entry. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment for our clients and employees.

Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor access points, including entrances, exits, and gates, to control the flow of personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  2. Verify the identity of individuals seeking entry by checking identification badges, credentials, or visitor passes.
  3. Enforce access control policies and procedures to prevent unauthorized entry and maintain the security of the facility.
  4. Issue temporary access badges or passes to visitors and contractors, ensuring they are escorted and supervised as necessary.
  5. Maintain accurate records of access control activities, including logs of visitors, contractors, and deliveries.
  6. Provide assistance and directions to visitors and employees regarding access control procedures and entry requirements.
  7. Report any security incidents, safety hazards, or equipment malfunctions to appropriate personnel.
  8. Stay informed about security protocols, emergency procedures, and access control technologies through ongoing training and professional development.

Requirements:

  1. BSIS Guard Card
  2. Previous experience in access control, security, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  3. Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately verify identification and credentials.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a diverse range of individuals.
  5. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, especially during high-traffic or emergency situations.
  6. Basic proficiency in using computers and access control systems/software.
  7. Physical fitness and ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform occasional lifting or carrying of equipment.
  8. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Training in emergency response procedures, CPR, first aid, or other relevant areas.
  2. Experience with visitor management systems or electronic access control systems.
  3. Non-lethal certs (baton, taser, oc spray)
  4. Duty belt
